The nightlife, restaurants, bars, and all-around atmosphere are the epitome of NYC cool. Hotel Indigo LES is located right on Ludlow Street in the heart of one of the hippest parts of the city. But hey, when you’re in your early/mid-twenties you don’t realize it’s crap because hello, you live in the best city in the world! It was so great to be back on my old stomping grounds to visit and see some of my old favorites and explore new spots as well. Before I left, I lived in the East Village for the last two years in a shitty gross small apartment. In case you didn’t know, I used to live in NYC for about four years right after I graduated from college.

Hotel Indigo Lower East Side – The Locationīy far, my favorite part of my stay at Hotel Indigo was the location.

It was a little too chilly and windy to stay outside on the deck, but the floor-to-ceiling windows allowed you too look at the skyline and feel like you were outside while staying warm posted up at the bar. We hopped up there for a cocktail and snacks multiple times throughout the trip. In addition to the great rooms and lobby, the hotel also has a great rooftop bar area called Mr. In the far corner is a little cafe/bar area where you can order my three favorite things: coffee, wine, and beer! You can also purchase to-go snacks as well.

The lobby is massive given what you’d expect on the ground level and it’s full of people working on laptops, enjoying coffee and/or cocktails, and amazing local art.įrom sculptures to photography on the ceiling – there are stamps of art everywhere you look. You take the elevator up to the lobby and as the doors open, you’re taken over by sunshine and the NYC skyline in the best possible way. You don’t always get views like this when staying in the city, so this was a huge perk.įrom the outside, the size of the Hotel Indigo is deceiving. The beds were insanely soft, the shower was large and the views outside were breathtaking. However, at Hotel Indigo, I found our rooms to be spacious and comparable to hotel sizing in other cities. I mean, they can get reeeaalllyy cozy so be ready for that. If you’ve stayed at a hotel in New York City, then chances are you know how tiny the rooms can be. Hotel Indigo Lower East Side – The Accommodations Yet, they embraced us and everything we had to do to “get the shot” which made our coverage of the property that much easier. Basically, we were just constantly interrupting their routine. If you’re a blogger, you know what I’m talking about. On top of that, they were super accommodating to our (I’m sure, annoying) photo shoots around the hotel. Is that a weird thing to notice? Because we couldn’t stop talking about it, ha! Seriously, everyone was so pretty to look at. The nicest men who helped us unload our bags inquired about our trip and were just overall super friendly. This place was an absolute dream! There are a million reasons why I loved this hotel, so let’s do a full Hotel Indigo Lower East Side Review, shall we? Hotel Indigo Lower East Side – The Staffįrom the second our taxi pulled up to the entrance of the hotel, we were welcomed with open arms.

They offered us a complimentary stay at their LES property. So I was so excited to partner with InterContinental Hotels Group for my most recent Big Apple trip. I’ve been a Hotel Indigo fan since my trip to Savannah a couple of years back. My Favorite New York City Hotel – Hotel Indigo Lower East Side But today, today is all about the best hotel I’ve stayed at in New York City.

It was amazing and so educational and I’ll share more details about that aspect of our trip in a future post. It was for a fun collaboration with Kate, the Diamond Concierge. Earlier this month, Jessica and I took a trip to New York City.
